Can I order a gift certificate that is no longer shown on the website?
Your local businesses enjoy offering Shop The Tristate members a variety of great offers. This means inventory changes frequently, so if you see an offer, don't delay. Similar offers may not be replenished. Once a product is gone, it's sold out.
How do I purchase an electronic gift certificate?
You need to be a member of the site to complete a transaction and gain access to any gift certificates you purchase. Please see the directions on how to become a member before placing an order on the site.
You can find gift certificates in a few different places on the site.
Local businesses that are currently offering gift certificates are listed on the shopping page of Shop The Tristate.
You can also make a purchase directly from any local business' page. Not all businesses listed will have gift certificates available, but if they do, they will be accessible from the shopping page and the business' individual ad pages.
We recommend you look over the terms and conditions of each gift certificate before making your purchase. Electronic gift certificates are indicated by an envelope with a lightning bolt : When you see this icon, it means the gift certificate is available online immediately after completing your purchase. Delivery is instantaneous! When you find a gift certificate that you would like to purchase, simply click the "Add to Cart" button and it will be placed in your shopping cart. If at any time you wish to remove your selection, you may do so by clicking in the box under "Remove" next to the selection and then clicking the "Update Cart" button to refresh the page with your changes. Your selections are always visible in your shopping cart as you continue to browse through the various goods and service offers. How do I purchase a paper gift certificate?
Though electronic gift certificates are much more prominent on our site, you may come across a gift certificate on occasion that must be delivered or picked up at a physical location. Follow the same procedure to purchase paper gift certificates as you do for electronic gift certificates. Paper gift certificates are delivered via USPS at no charge to you! Shipping & handling is always FREE at Shop The Tristate.

How long does the process take?
Once you have submitted your order, you will immediately receive an email confirmation. If you do not receive this email confirmation, please contact Customer Support at (301) 733-5123 or contact us online.
Is my purchase secure?
Shop The Tristate uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all credit card and billing information. Your computer must be SSL-enabled to ensure secure transfer of your credit card information. If you are having trouble with your browser, you can contact us online for assistance.
What is CVV?
CVV is an anti-fraud security feature to help verify that you are in possession of your credit card. For Visa/Mastercard, the three-digit CVV number is printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately after the card's account number. For American Express, the four-digit CVV number is printed on the front of the card above the card account number.
How do I access my Gift Certificates after I have purchased them?
The Thank You Page of the Checkout process contains a link to download/print your gift certificate(s).
The Order Confirmation email you receive after placing your order will have a link to download/print your gift certificate(s).
Your personal page -"My Page"- was created when you joined Shop The Tristate. It contains an "Order History" link in the "Account Settings" section at the bottom of the page. Your previous orders will all be listed there.
How do I use a gift certificate?
To Redeem:
All product-guarantees and warranties are the responsibility of the business whose certificate you purchased. Neither Shop The Tristate nor the merchant is responsible for lost or stolen certificates. There is no cash back upon redemption or at any other time.
Expiration Dates:
Shop The Tristate gift certificates may be valid for up to one year from their date, unless (a) otherwise indicated on the certificate itself; or (b) where otherwise prohibited by law.
Can I send an electronic gift certificate to someone other than myself?
You can only send an electronic gift certificate to the email address that you enter during checkout. Please note that your electronic gift certificate will only be sent to this email address. Multiple delivery email addresses cannot be entered.
